Use my honda hds10/20/2023 There is no explanation in the service manual for alternate methods to "jump the SCS line with the HDS," as a Honda Technician would just use the HDS, which us mere mortal DIYs obviously do not have. I have the Honda service manual, and it states, on page 11-110 of the PGM-FI System subsection of the Fuel and Emissions Section, that after you have established that the DTC is indicated, before you can check the knock sensor circuit for an open or short, you have to "jump the SCS line with the HDS." The DTC code is repeatable, even after clearing the DTC with my scan tool. I could just spend the money for a new knock sensor and see if it fixes the problem after replacement, but I have a multimeter and an AUTEL AutoLink AL439 next generation OBDII & electrical test tool, so I'd prefer to check the circuit for a malfunction first, right?
